Finding Products
Simple research rules — sales volume, ratings and commission — so you promote things people already buy.
- 1
Start with research, not guessing
Once your niche is locked in, search TikTok Shop for products already performing well inside that niche. This is product research, and it's the foundation of everything. You are not trying to invent demand — you're finding demand that already exists and putting a better video in front of it.

Rule #1 — check sales volume
Only consider products that already have at least a few hundred sales. Sales prove demand exists and that the seller can actually fulfil orders. Brand new listings with no history are a gamble you don't need to take while learning.
- 3
Rule #2 — check the rating
Only promote products rated 4 stars or above. Anything lower is usually a quality problem: people won't buy it, and the ones who do will be unhappy. Your credibility is the asset here — don't spend it on cheap tat.

Rule #3 — check the commission and the price
Look at the commission percentage against the price. A 20% commission on a £15 product is £3 — you'll need volume. Mid-priced products with a decent commission and strong reviews are usually the easiest place to start.

Requesting free samples
Once eligible you can request samples from sellers. Having the product in your hands makes far better content than reusing the seller's footage, because you can show it working, unbox it, and answer real questions.
Key takeaway
Do the boring version of this properly before you look for shortcuts. Results vary, and consistency is the part nobody can do for you.
